The South Dakota Dental Hygienists' Association is excited to announce we are pursuing legislation in January 2011 working closely with the South Dakota Dental Association.  The SDDHA has secured a primary sponsor Jean Hunhoff she is a Senator from Yankton County.

The legislation being pursued is a collaborative agreement to be established with a licensed dentist which would allow for dental hygienist to provide access to care for those not able to get to a dental office.  Updates are available on the legislation page.    HB 1045 did pass!
